“Hello.” Mum called out as she waltzed in through the front door.

“In here.” I called back from the living room. It was only eight in the morning and I was due at work in an hour. Oliver was still a bit under the weather, so I didn’t want him going to the child minders.

“How’s my gorgeous boy?” She asked as she sat next to me on the sofa as I cradled a sleeping Oliver in my arms.

“He’s tired today. Do you think I need to take him to the doctors?”

“If you’re worried about him, then I can take him today?”

“Yeah, I’ll give them a call and see if they can squeeze him in. Thanks, Mum.” I handed over Oliver to her and she got comfy as I ran upstairs to finish getting ready for work.
